A Fine Orator's Stool, Iatmul people, Middle Sepik region, Papua New Guinea,
with various animals to base & crocodile on rear, large ancestral face to front
These stools were traditionally used during debates in the Men's House, Haus Tamboram. The orator would stand next to the stool & beat it with a bunch of leaves to emphasis points to the assembled crowd some chips & cracks as per image
