A Fine Old Wooden Carving of Nusu Nusu Head, c.1940s,
this carving was taken back to Japan by a returning Japanese soldier after Japan lost the war c.1940s, it is unknown if it was made by a Japanaese or a Solomon Islander carver, it is not a Nusu Nusu Canoe Prow Ornament, possibly the top of a post, visible are the beginnings of carved areas where shell inlays were traditionally inserted
